Sam Lando, Owner and Winemaker at Lando Wines, will be pouring at this dinner. After starting his career working for large, global wine producers, Sam determined that his true love was working with and enjoying Pinot Noir. The next step in Sam’s career was a stint of 5 years working with Kosta Browne Winery before taking the leap with his wife, Jennifer, and taking their winemaking hobby to the next level. They began a small Pinot Noir focused winery called Lando Wines. As a relatively new winery, Lando Wines produced its first wines, 2013 Russian River Pinot Noir and 2013 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, which were released in February of 2015.

Our definition of balance relates to beautiful and lush aromatics, a sensuous and saturating mid palate, and a lengthy captivating finish – a complete wine from start to finish. M Sushi

M Sushi is the Triangle’s 1st sushi restaurant that is dedicated solely to high-quality seafood. For Chef and owner Michael Lee it has been a lifelong dream to create a sushi restaurant that concentrates solely on providing the true Omakase style dining experience.

The menu is small and purposeful and uses only very special seasonal seafood received directly from Japan, Korea, and US. The quality of the dishes is a direct result of the dedication to fresh ingredients and the emphasis placed on maintaining traditional Japanese cuisine with Peruvian and Spanish influences. All ingredients are very carefully selected to create the best possible sushi.

Mike Lee, Chef and owner of the hottest “cold kitchen” in town, this Seoul native makes sushi—and a host of hot-kitchen Japanese staples.  With know-how he acquired via an assembly of years under two Master chefs, followed by training in over two dozen Japanese restos scattered across the U.S. (he came of age in the States), his boho approach has yielded the sweet success that is now M Sushi & Sono — or “the” spot to be.
