Lombardi Wines

Founded in 2013, Tony and Christine Lombardi began a passion project that honors a rich family history of wine, food and tradition. Together, with winemaker Cabell Coursey, they craft small lots of chardonnay and pinot noir from some of the finest vineyards in Sonoma Coast. The Pinot Noir is from a family of growers in Petaluma, where the Lombardi Family has been since 1947.

In 2015, Tony started a boutique consulting company offering Marketing, Public Relations and Wholesale services to the benefit of small to mid-size wine companies in need of this expertise. With over twenty-five years of experience in management, production, sales, marketing and public relations, Lombardi Marketing is a trusted source to the benefit of wineries operating in the luxury wine category. Current and Past Clients include: A.P. VIN, Arista Winery, Flanagan Vineyards, Pellegrini Wine Company, Jigar & Sedition Wines, Ram’s Gate Winery, Roger Roessler Wines, and Three Sticks Wines.

When he’s not busy promoting the incredible stories of exceptional Sonoma County wine, Tony enjoys spending time with his wife, Christine and sons, Andrew and Aidan.

CIRQ

In the summer of 2018, Michael Browne established an estate hilltop winery in the heart of the Russian River Valley. This property is CIRQ’s new home and Michael’s sole (soul) focus. From here, he will continue the role of winemaker, putting his hands on every fine detail from vine to bottle. He has assembled a top-notch team to help him continue to make wines and deliver those wines at the highest quality level possible. Together, as they work on the evolution of CIRQ, this will be their guiding philosophy with the intent of exceeding your expectations in every aspect.

Their next release will represent the 2016 vintage. It will be comprised of two separate wines and will be available in July of 2019. The first of these wines comes exclusively from the Treehouse vineyard, while the second hails from Bootlegger’s Hill. These are two incredible sites that have been at the heart of the CIRQ program since the beginning. At this point, they’re like old friends. They look forward to releasing these wines next year and sharing them with you!

With the 2017 vintage, CIRQ will evolve down the path that is uniquely CIRQ.

Instead of producing two single-vineyard wines, with the 2017 vintage and beyond, CIRQ will make one wine — a blend. Michael Browne likes to think of this wine as the ultimate combination, hand-crafted with fruit from some of the most highly regarded vineyard sites in the Russian River Valley. He personally chose these properties, and selected grapes from the most prized blocks at each. In this sense, the 2017 vintage will feature the best of the very best! This wine will be available in 2020.

Capital Club 16

As part of the electricity of downtown Raleigh, in the historic Capital Club Building, Capital Club 16 is attributed to paying homage to the old and new of the capital city. Capital Club 16 is a traditional American restaurant with European influences. They offer straight forward, scratch made meals inspired by classic dishes and time tested family recipes. The menu includes seasonal and locally grown ingredients plus specialty artisanal items such as Schaller and Weber Gold Medal Sausages and Meats, a 6th generation NYC Germantown butcher, NC seafood and regionally raised meats. The cocktails are our takes on the classics as well as house made specialties. They offer local craft and imported European beers and specialty wines from boutique vineyards.

The restaurant is locally owned and operated by husband and wife duo, Jake and Shannon Wolf. Jake is from a family of cooks. His early experience includes working in the family restaurant Lobos (Wolf’s in Spanish) in Connecticut and the Pinehurst Member’s Club in North Carolina. Jake attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York and then has worked in restaurants in Atlanta, Telluride, Germany, Boston and, most recently, New York City. Shannon has worked in television for the last 15years, producing and writing shows for networks including Oxygen, Discovery, VH1 and CBS. She’s excited to be part of making Capital Club 16 a place for others to enjoy delicious meals and a fun place to hang out.
